We are pleased to announce that former professional rugby league player and coach Glenn Morrison is our new backs and skills coach for the 23/24 season.
Glenn will be coaching with Baildon alongside his commitments as a coach and teacher at Bradford Grammar School, where he has already coached a couple of our players. Glenn is no stranger to Baildon having coached Bradford Salem last year in the Yorkshire Shield final against us.
Glenn played rugby league in the Australian National Rugby League for Parramatta and North Queensland Cowboys over a 6-year period before joining Bradford Bulls and then Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the English Super League, where he finished his playing career. Since then, Glenn has coached Dewsbury Rams in the Rugby League Championship and up until recently coached at our near neighbours Bradford Salem.
Upon joining Baildon Glenn has said: “Baildon is a very professional club which are heading in the right direction. There is a quality coaching and playing group that are all there for the right reasons that I can’t wait to start working with. It’s an exciting chapter for me.”
Baildon's Director of Rugby Jake Duxbury commented: "From the minute I first spoke to Glenn about joining the journey, I’ve been impressed by his knowledge and passion for the game. At Baildon, our mission is to improve every player that trains and plays with us and bringing in Glenn will only strengthen our ability to do this, which in turn will only improve our on field performances". Jake added: "Having someone with the playing and coaching experience Glenn has at the highest level will bring a new perspective to our coaching team."
