Successful rugby clubs like Baildon Rugby Club are more than just “winning” teams on the pitch. Players and coaches are vitally important, so are the many dedicated volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to help the club function.
You don’t have to be a rugby expert to get involved. Whether you’re a current player, someone who has hung up their boots, or a person who has never picked up the oval ball, you could be a valued rugby volunteer.
If our club didn’t have social organisers, officials, team administrators, help on match days, coaches, referees, fundraisers, marketing experts, securing sponsorship and help in maintaining the fabric of our club (these are but a few ways you can volunteer), Baildon Rugby Club would not be in the position it is.
You don’t have to be “sporty” to be a rugby volunteer because there are opportunities for everyone to give time (spend as little or as much time as you want) and many benefits that come from being involved in this great club.
Baildon Rugby Club is always looking to increase its pool of volunteers, whether that is on a more enduring basis, or a more ad hoc “when required” premise. If you feel you could contribute to the running and administration of this club, or have a more practical hands on skills that the club could use, then please contact the club’s Volunteer Co-ordinator.
