It’s safe to say the world has changed. Since our abrupt end to the 2019/2020 season came to fruition in March, we have been restricted on playing the game we all love.... Saturdays just aren’t quite the same.
However, the news broke that we had been promoted through the magical RFU calculator, the coaching team got straight onto planning for the new season, and when we finally got the nod from the government that we could reconvene some small group, socially distanced training, we started straight away.

Training, which has been done in an extremely safe manner and complying with the RFU, and Government guidelines, has been absolutely fantastic. We have followed the RFU’s Return to Rugby Roadmap, and we have added in new drills when allowed to do so.

We’ve recruited well and it’s fantastic to see so many new faces, all enjoying the sessions we have been taking part in... the most encouraging bit about it all so far, is that the U17 colts have been taking part in the sessions with the seniors and it really is fantastic to see!

They have some real talent, and it’s going to be exciting watching all of them develop, and seeing some of the lads break into the senior game.
Hopefully there won’t be too many weekends before we can get back out on the pitch, playing in competitive games and enjoying the sport we love.

We love Saturdays
